The Story of the RipTip

How It Started

The RipTip started the way a lot of good ideas do: by accident.

Back in 2018, our glass studio was producing prep pulls for other products, and we had scrap glass piling up after every run. One day, we grabbed a piece of that leftover glass, rolled it into a joint as a tip, and lit up.

The result was unlike anything we'd experienced. Smoother airflow. A cooler hit. An even burn from start to finish. We passed it around, and nobody wanted to go back to cardboard.

We ran out of scrap within a few weeks.

The Vortex

That's when we knew we had something worth building. Instead of just repurposing leftover glass, we started designing a purpose-built tip from the ground up.

The breakthrough was our nine-hole vortex pattern, a proprietary design that splits smoke into 9 separate streams as it passes through the tip. The effect is immediate: cooler smoke, better airflow, and a noticeably smoother experience than any cardboard filter or flat glass tip on the market.

Every RipTip is produced from premium borosilicate glass, the same durable material used in lab equipment and high-end glassware. It's heat-resistant, easy to clean, and built to last. One tip, used and reused, replaces hundreds of disposable filters.

Made in USA

Our glass tips are produced in the USA. We work with American manufacturers & artists who share our standard for quality and consistency.

We offer tips in a range of sizes, from 7mm up to 13mm+, and a growing lineup of colorways, including limited edition drops through our Drop Zone collection. Every colorway is produced in small batches, making each one part of a limited run.

Where We Are Now

What started as a scrap glass experiment has grown into something we never expected.

RipTip is now carried by authorized retailers across the US, UK, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, France, Australia, and beyond. In 2024, we took RipTip to Spannabis Bilbao, Europe's largest cannabis trade show, and won Best Paraphernalia Product against competitors from around the world.

We've built wholesale partnerships with some of the biggest names in the industry, and we're growing our international presence every month. But we're still a small team, still based in Colorado, and still obsessed with making the best glass tip on the planet.
