Here at The RipTip, our priority has always been to offer a best-in-class, premium glass rolling tip for a top-tier rolling experience, complete with innovative design and high quality materials.
We have received feedback from the community about some decals on our glass tips wearing off over time, or some after just a few uses. While this doesn't affect the performance and functionality of the tip, we continue to be committed to ensuring our products look as great as they function. Today, we're excited to share with you how we've improved our process to address this concern.

Decal Wear: A Known Issue
Some customers have reported decals fading or wearing off with extended use and cleaning, though this is not happening to every riptip. This can occur for several different reasons, but we believe it has to do with a change in the ink being used when creating the decals. Because of this, some colors have not fused as well as other colors to the borosilicate glass. We have removed all products from our inventory that we are aware of this issue happening with.

Our Solution: Permanent Etching
To make sure our product meets your expectations, we have invested in a new, in-house tool that our team is having great success with. It etches and engraves our logo directly onto the glass. This upgrade offers a few key benefits:
- Permanence: the engraved logo becomes a permanent part of the riptip.
- Customization: the new tool allows for us to offer custom engraving options
- Efficiency: our in-house engraving process has sped up production times
What to do if you encounter an issue?
If you happen to receive a riptip that you are unhappy with, don't worry. We've got you covered. But, please know that once a riptip has been used, there's nothing we can do about returning it. The best example we can compare this to is buying a t-shirt. After multiple uses and wash/dry cycles, you may notice the shirt begin to fade. However, the shirt function remains the same. If you are unhappy with your purchase, please refer to our Refund/Return policy on how to address your situation. We take great pride in our customer service and we would be more than happy to work with you.
Recommendations for Decal Longevity
- Do not microwave.
- Do not store in ISO.
- If you warm the riptip when cleaning, we recommend you run it though hot water.
- Never torch your riptips.
